How about express payment methods?
When customers pay with express payment methods (ie Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal), they are able to bypass the first step of checkout where the validation happens. Therefore, these orders are processed on the Thank You page post-checkout.
What about addresses not processed by Address Validator?
Customers will proceed as if Address Validator was not installed and the shipping addresses will not be validated.
What orders will I be charged for?
We do not own any of the data and need to send the address information to our vendor to be validated - we pay for each query.
You will be charged for all orders processed, regardless if the original address is correct. The app does not know if an address is correct before the query.
If you opt to process validate addresses during checkout, an order is considered processed once the customer submits the shipping address. This is when the address gets processed. This customer may drop out of the checkout in a later step or submit a new address. In either case, only one charge will be applied, even if the customer changes the shipping address multiple times.
